    There is some serious problem in your arguments. 1)indian food is not to be blamed. Imbalance of food is the problem. 2)oat is not the only healthy cereal. You can have sattu, ragi, bajra… Basically anything except wheat 3)honey should never be heated or cooked. It should always be added after cooking part is done

    SUGAR = always bad right
    BUTTER/GHEE = fat
    YOGURT/DAIRY = fat
    ROLLED OATS = these are proceed oats. try steel-cut oats (more fiber). must always cook in water before eating regards what food industries are trying to sell you.

    More fiber, primarily starch based foods, with some vegetables and fruits on the side. This is the traditional Indian diet. Do not believe what food companies SELL you.

    Parathas (ie. wheat flour) are ok, but the oil/butter/ghee in them is not ok.

    You have lost weight because you have substituted oats for oil for your breakfast meal. But now you must cook the oats for digestion. Remove butter and sugar and dairy. Limit honey. Walk daily at least 4 miles.

    Now adjust your diet. Learn the difference between what food/pharmaceutical industries are SELLING you and what is REAL HEALTH.

    I have news for you , oats like all grains are carbs and turn into sugar once in your system . Your insulin spikes and turns on fat storage mode in your body . Permanent weight loss can only be achieved by cutting carbs and replacing them with healthy fats .

    With all due respect, I don't see the healthy part of the recipe when you added both sugar and a butter to the oat !! I beleive a very small amount of honey or fresh fruit will do the job without any sugar or butter. Greeting from Saudi Arabia
