This topic would be so great in the context of highly driven students and their parents in my community. Our students will do whatever it takes for esteem. They need to understand how their self-esteem will take them so much further and how much "putting in the work" will actually do more than the shortcuts.

I get the premise and agree…but struggle to silence that other inside voice implanted by hyper critical (negative) parents, who never gave positive feedback (fir fear of giving their kids a “big head”) How do you silence them to focus on your true inner critic?

This is an outstanding share. Thank you so much. I have such a better understanding of what makes me tick. It doesn’t matter how down I am on myself once I start to change – my self esteem mechanism will change. I don’t have to be a superstar I just have to start. Care about what I think – my internal self esteem will rise. Diligent effort! I’m going to save this video to listen again – it is so valuable. Thanks again.
